嵯峨芸術大学 教授 真板昭夫氏
世界で初めて開講された京都嵯峨芸術大学観光デザイン学科。
日本におけるエコツーリズムの第一人者でいらっしゃる、教授 真板昭夫氏は「観光デザイン」という言葉がまだ知られていない時代からフィジー諸島、南大東島をはじめ様々なフィールドワークを通して観光とデザインとの関わりについて研究を重ねられています。
ムービー「真板昭夫の観光デザイン学考」の中では、言葉だけでは伝わりにくい観光デザインとは一体何であるかということを真板先生自身のお言葉で語っていただきました。
また真板ゼミ卒業生にインタビュー取材を行い、大学時代の体験・真板先生の人柄などについてお話を伺った「卒業生たち」ムービー。
先生のライフワーク、嵯峨大覚寺・蓮の復活プロジェクトである「ソウギョバスターズ」の活動を卒業生が編集されたムービーなど先生の活動を多角的に表現することに視点を置き、制作させていただきました。
Akio Maita, Professor, Department of Tourism Design, Kyoto Saga University of Arts
Kyoto Saga University of Arts' Tourism Design Department is the first of its kind. Mr. Akio Maita, who is at the top of the ecotourism field in Japan, did his fieldwork in places such as Fiji and Minami Daito Island before anyone had ever heard of "Tourism Design." However, through his fieldwork, Maita has amassed a body of research on the relationship between design and tourism.
In the movie "Akio Maita's Thoughts on Tourism Design," Maita himself addresses what Tourism Design might be, a topic that is difficult to express in words alone. We also use material from interviews with Maita's former students, in a "Former Students" movie where they describe their university experiences and Maita's personality.
Taking as our focus the professor's life work with "Sogyo Busters," Saga Daikakuji Temple's Lotus Renewal Project, expressed in a multifaceted way with such things as a movie edited by one of Maita's students, we proudly present this website.
